Shropshire Independent Advocacy Scheme (SIAS) was formed in 1993, by a single volunteer.

SIAS’s mission (as it still is today) was to establish an Independent Mental Health Advocacy service,
throughout the County of Shropshire and the Borough of Telford & Wrekin.

SIAS’s vision is to empower adults experiencing mental health difficulties,
ensuring that their needs are identified and met.
